El Abuelo
Dir. Dino Dinco
(2008, 3 min., USA, English)
“El Abuelo” is an intimate portrait of local educator and poet, Joe Jimenez. Of all domestic chores, ironing is the only one a “homeboy” is more than happy to master, reaching an appearance of perfection; perfect creases work hand in hand with the power of attraction. In voiceover, Joe reads the lines from his poem “El Abuelo,” as we learn the potency these perfect creases possess in capturing the attention of his “first vato” – his first love of another man.

Holy Water

Breaking Borders: Cross-Dressers & Drag Queens of El Paso, TX
Dir. Diana Cordova
(2009, 13 min., USA, Spanish w/ English Subtitles)
Every Thursday night at a local Taco Cabana in El Paso Texas, Manuel Nunez and friends put on a cross dressing drag queen show titled 'Samantha's Travesti Show'. Through the use of comedy and
entertainment, Samantha, Viviana, and Zayda break the borders of transsexual identity and acceptance.

¿M, Nunca Sere Nadie?
Dir. Jeronimo de los Santos
(2009, 15 min., Spain, Spanish w/ English Subtitles)
Alex, an underground movie writer, homosexual and in his thirties, is bored, the worst sin for somebody taken as creative. His world is deleting itself and the background is black. Casually, he reads a note about the debut as director of an ex-friend. Some people seemd to get some success, many others gave up. But what about him? What has he done, why can't he even look at himself at the mirror?

Almas Perdidas
Dir. Julio de la Fuente

Dir. Desi del Valle
(2009, 12 min., USA, English)
Following the death of Trista’s girlfriend, the comforting shoulder of straight gal-pal Monica turns into more in “Back to Life”, a gentle story of love between friends.

Cara O Cruz
Dir. Jacobo Echeverria
(2008, 11 min., Spain, Spanish w/ English Subtitles)
A day in the lives of two teenagers from the outskirts of Madrid that, to escape the routine, walk the neighborhood, risking on a toss who makes the next prank. While honest with each other, they will doubt everything, even if their friendship will not be something else decided for them by currency.
